I’ve been toying with an idea of late.
An idea on how EASY it is to not be lazy.
That’s right, a LAZY way to exercise. And it’s something you’ve all heard before, and something so simple, you’ll be astounded and amazed at how easy it really is to get in an hour’s worth, or more, of cardio per week without changing anything you do right now.
Here’s the secret… Don’t Be Lazy!
Now– wasn’t that a surprise.
Seriously, if you decide to own the next two acronyms, we’ll be well on our way to a healthier, and less stressful, you! The acronyms please? Why, “LANM” and “RAEX” of course.
LANM stands for Lazy Ass No More
RAEX is Random Acts of Exercise.
Here’s your first “RAEX” example.
More will follow, both by me, and hopefully by readers.
First exercise: Walk more whenever possible.
I know, seriously simple-minded sounding, but how many times have you stressed you, and another combatant, during the fight for that one-space-closer parking space at the Mall, or the Grocery store? Here’s the exercise– Peacefully drive to the outer reaches of either parking lot, and walk the space to the store. If you’ve not elevated your heart rate on the way in, carrying bags or pushing a heavy cart should provide a bit of elevation in the beats per minute category.
And contrary to that which Mark Sisson likes to call ‘conventional wisdom’, incremental exercise is in-a-good-way-accumulative.
So, don’t park close, park far. Walk briskly, coming and going. Do just that at every opportunity (you remember the other acronym don’t you? LANM!) You’ll be on your way to both a healthier, and less-stressful you.
